Children return to school
Earlier this year, lockdowns in India meant that the children in our homes were unable to attend school. With no way of keeping up with their studies remotely, they were at risk of falling behind with their education.
The children usually benefit from after-school tutors at both Rainbow and Shanti Nivas homes, but this wasn’t possible due to strict restrictions.
Wonderful UK supporters like you donated laptops so that the children could attend classes online. This was such an encouragement to our young people as they were able to stay connected to their classmates and continue with their studies.
We’re pleased to say that all the children have now gone back to school or college. They’ve received new schoolbooks and all the equipment they need, thanks to child sponsors.
