What We Do

The majority of people in Andhra Pradesh live in rural areas and many don't have electricity or water supplies. There is no social welfare or free health service. Life is hard and income is very low. Most people live on less than £1 a day.

Imagine trying to look after your family with so little. There is not enough to feed growing children or pay for things like medical care and education.

For people living in poverty, over-crowding, poor diet and a lack of sanitation mean that disease is rife. If there is no money for food, there is certainly no money to pay for doctors and medicines.

The young, elderly and vulnerable often suffer the most, and treatable diseases become fatal.

Brighter Future works in a 200-mile radius of our office in the city of Vizianagaram. We provide:

  • safe homes for children to grow up and go to school

  • medical care and health education

  • housing, water supplies and food for communities

  • training and resources to help people get jobs and break the cycle of poverty.
