Thank you for saving lives in the pandemic

People affected by leprosy in colonies all over Andhra Pradesh faced starvation during the second lockdown. They couldn’t go out and beg, and family members were not allowed to leave the leprosy colonies to work.

Thanks to the amazing support of people like you, the Brighter Future team were able to distribute over 10,000 food parcels to people affected by leprosy. This was quite simply life-saving.

Sadly, people affected by leprosy, the disabled and the elderly were forgotten in the vaccination drives. Our team took these people to vaccination centres and made sure that they received the injections.

Our team also carried out health camps to ensure that adults and children with HIV/AIDS were given vital medicines. This support was crucial as AIDS weakens the immune system and increases susceptibility to the coronavirus.

Having worked around the clock to save lives, Brighter Future's efforts were recognised by the Indian Government and our team received an award for outstanding service.

We are continuing to provide medical care and emergency supplies for vulnerable communities
