Shailesh qualified as a chartered accountant in 1990 and has worked within the property, publishing, and hotel industries.
He has been married for 29 years and is a father of two adult girls. Not surprisingly, with the women in his life, he is a strong believer in gender equality.
Shailesh has been involved in setting up microfinance loans to help women in poverty, and is also a trustee for Hostels for the Homeless.
